As part of continuing education, Royal Belgian Podiatry Association organises:

Training 'Chronic ankle instability'

Friday the 3rd of octobre 2025 from 8h30 to 17h, Louvain La Neuve

It is often said that those who are absent are always wrong, but this time, it is a certainty!

Following the success of the 2024 session on foot stabilization, the Royal Belgian Podiatry Association is organizing another training course led by Mr. François Fourchet.

The training will focus on chronic ankle instability and will be held in Louvain-la-Neuve on October 2, 2025, in French, and on October 3, 2025, in English.

Space will be limited and priority will be given to RBPA members.

    Program

    The objective of this training course is to equip you with the skills to manage an ankle sprain, from the moment of injury on the field to the athlete’s return to competition.

    We will cover all the key components that healthcare professionals must master to ensure optimal rehabilitation while minimizing the risk of recurrence or chronic instability. Through a combination of scientific insights and practical applications, we will review the most relevant tests, tools, questionnaires, and rehabilitation exercises tailored to patient care.

    By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

    • Identify and assess the patient's impairments and functional limitations through a comprehensive clinical evaluation;
    • Develop an evidence-based therapeutic plan, aligned with health education principles and international clinical practice guidelines;
    • Apply and adapt rehabilitation techniques according to the stage of the condition, leading up to full return to activity.

    We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Hervé Auquier and Anh-phong Nguyen for their valuable contribution to the organization of this training course.
